It’s early morning and I can’t find the motivation to get out of bed. What will be in store for me on this Monday? What will be in store for me this week, actually? I’m in pain and I’m not feeling heard. But I need to make a living and I have no choice but to continue my work.
Does this sound familiar to you? Are you stuck in a position that you don’t know how to make it through?
If you answered yes to either of those questions, I may have an answer to help you make it through these challenging times.
This past year my husband and I traveled the country in a semi truck. He drove while I tagged along for company and support. We realized that this was not a lifestyle we wanted. So we packed up and came home for good.
I had no experience with anything but a manufacturing company I worked for a few years before our adventure. That is the path I took when I came home. Back at the factory, but I didn’t know why I was going back to what had been too much for me before. I took this opportunity to start fresh and create a different life.
Going back, everything was different. The only thing that stayed the same was the people’s names.
I have been searching for an understanding, why God put me back here. I came to only realize that he needed me to trust him. He did not give me the answers right away. So a few pain relievers and muscle ointment later, I stepped back to let God reveal to me his plan.
I still have not received it. The ‘plan’ but I am working hard each day to change my life for myself. I took charge and decided things would not change if I didn’t start right here. I knew that God wanted me to be a more strong-minded person to help the rest of us make the difference.
The answers sometimes are hard to find. They may not even appear for years. It’s important to be still and trust our creator has only our best interest.
I can’t say I don’t struggle when the going gets tough. I can’t say I don’t ask God why things happen the way they do.
I can say that even when it all falls apart, he shows me how to put it back together again.
So how can you stay motivated when things get difficult?
Sometimes it’s simply stepping back and letting God handle your situation. He will always be right there to show you how to conquer your most difficult moments.
Keep on holding yourself together. Keep on turning to God. You won’t find a motivation more powerful than this one.
