Has God Called You to Blog?

So one morning you woke up and created a blog. You knew all the details and how to look professional, and you even had a product to sell.

Wouldn’t that be nice? Because really, you woke up and realized you didn’t even know what it meant to be a Christian blogger. All you knew was that God spoke to you and told you this is what you should do with your life. Now it’s time for you to figure out all the details on your own. Trust me, you are not alone! This is just the beginning. Don’t be afraid of this new opportunity!

Now that God has spoken to you and asked you to share with others your talent as a writer, it’s time to start. But where do I start you might ask? There is never a perfect time or place to start your blog. This is something you just have to do, but at your own pace, of course.

     Starting Faith’s Graceful Journey was a complete leap of faith. Literally, one day, God spoke to me. As I was scrolling through Pinterest, I’m not sure if I seen a new blogger’s post or what it could have been. I have never searched for things on that topic and honestly, I never even thought about blogging once in my life. I have visited many blogger’s websites and not once thought “I want to do this!” But that day God whispered “This is it, take this and share my name with all that will listen.” It felt as if he was telling me that through him, I could never fail. Where to begin was uncertain, so I didn’t for quite some time. 

I talked to my husband over and over about what topics I would cover and what my domain name would be and he was ready for me to either do it or not! It was going to be done! I often get excited about new things and not follow through. But this time would be different because God was in this more than anything, even more than me!

I took my time and tried to think everything through. Many hardships made their way to the surface, and I wanted to give up often. I couldn’t give up on this. I’ve had my doubts, but God would sort them out. 

How could I ignore the biggest opportunity that God had ever introduced to me? This wasn’t just a hobby or something to do when I’m bored. This was an opportunity to share with others the Lord’s word and just what he has done for me. I took to God for guidance on this new journey. He was there. He pushed me forward, and I did not fail with him at my side. 

Just like me, you too can be the blogger God has called you to be.

“Don’t be afraid, just believe”

It is time to push all your fears and doubts to the side. You are capable of anything. What more motivation do you need? I mean, God asked this of you? It is your destiny!

Writing is a talent that many don’t get to share. So don’t be afraid.

“God is within her. She will not fail.”

-Psalm 46:5

It is time, dear. Be the blogger God intended you to be. I will pray for your success.
